This bed wedge pillow combines a backrest, chaise lounge, and foot incline; detach sections of the foam sleeping wedge to create your own personal comfort angles. The Back Max Bed Wedge Pillow is made of medical grade, high-quality foam with removable, washable cover.
Benefits of the Back Max Bed Wedge Pillow:
I bought this for my boyfriend because he has a bad back. He feels better sleeping sitting on the couch than in bed with me. So either he is in pain for being in bed with me or I don't sleep well from sleeping on the couch with him....... This is a life saver!
I just had foot surgery and was required to stay in bed with my foot elevated above my hips..This isn't the first foot surgery I've had and I knew how uncomfortable it is. I've been using the Back Max now for 3 days and the difference is unbelievable..I've even been able to sleep on it...the adjustability is great too...I have a long torso, but you can unzip the pieces and form-fit it to your body..It's just great
after surgery i had to position pillows under my back and legs to have my body in a position where i could rest.
it took me every night almost 10minutes for this work of art. as soon as i moved during the night my "construction" was ruined. With the back max bed wedge pillow. my bed is always ready. it stays all night in the same firm position. i cannot begin to tell you how comfortable this product is. i love it and i regret only one thing: why did i not buy it sooner.
This a good product
After lumbar surgery, and many other procedures this product makes it possible to be comfortable while whtching TV. I keep it on the living room floor for this purpose, it's a bit narrow but comfortable for me at six foot 220lbs. I would deffinatly recomend it to anyone with lower back pain.
I have tried every pillow and pillow configuration known to man ... and finally heaven. I have osteoarthritis in my back and woke up each morning thinking I'd broken my back during the night. Since the Back Max arrived ... No back pain or stiffness in the morning, no swollen ankles or leg cramps. All gone! It's also ideal for anyone with breathing problems or that wears a CPAP mask ... perfect angle to breath deeply.
The back max is a good idea in theory but not in practice. It was too narrow to be comfortable and for one to feel "safe" on a bed. It has no place for one's arms except one's stomach and can not be used for sleeping or staying in bed (the reasons we wanted it). If it were wider by half again and more dense, it might work. As it was, it was like a torture instrument whether on a bed or on the floor (a safer option since on a bed, it wobbled like a water bed). Too bad. We really thought it was a great idea.
I debated quite a while over this purchase. I'm a writer who spends long hours at the computer. I often have pain in my neck and back, and have difficulty getting comfortable enough to watch TV or read in bed. This wedge pillow has been perfect. I've used it for two weeks now and no pain. I was worried about some reviews that warned the pillow was too narrow. I don't have that problem at all, and I'm not a skinny gal.
Not really comfortable for tall people, although I am only 6'1"...but its ok at best.
Not really best to sleep on and its ok as a lounge chill on floor for TV or gaming experience.
Overall I would not recommend spending more than $50 on something like this.
Good buy - just a tad on the slim built. I am 5'8" but on the heavy side at 190+ lbs. Would have been much better if at least 12-18 inches wider. I would not hesitate paying a bit more as long as it is wider.
This is a great product for those who have back pain sleeping in a flat bed.
I would not recommend this for normal people. But my wife has been sleeping in a recliner chair for months because sleeping in a flat bed hurts her back due to degenerative disc syndrome. The Back Max has allowed her to sleep in a bed again. It is a little narrow, but her only complain is that it needs arm rests. She piles pillows up under her arms and sleeps great.
She is so glad because she will be able to take it on vacations and not have to worry about finding a chair to sleep in. It will fit into a medium size suite case.
Great for those with back pain who can't sleep on a flat bed, bad for those who want to sleep on their sides or who toss & turn.
This was money well spent. I enjoy my night reading a lot more and sleep is more restful with my feet elevated just a tad. The many different configurations achievable is a huge plus.
Just got the pillow a couple weeks ago and have immediately noticed a difference after using the leg support overnight. The back/neck rest also works great for relaxing.
In the photo this wedge pillow appeared to be perfect. It is precisely the angles I try to achieve with individual pillows that constantly need to be adjusted. My problem with the back max bed wedge pillow was it didnt fit me. I had to unzipper the pillows and then lost them during the night. I also felt the foam was uncomfortably firm. My suggestions were to offer a pillow top for softness and to created an extension for the back section and knee section that could be velcroed together at the appropriate distance. It would be a simple addition that could accommodate any height by having a flat piece of fabric with velcro at various increments.
Should you manage to offer these additions I would be very interested in purchasing two of them as they would be perfect.
The lady who modeled the pillows must be quite short.
This is an out standing item for back pain
I had purchased this product hoping that it will have the softness of a pillow.. unfortunately I found this to be hard for my liking. Secondly I found that I could not sleep in the wedged up position as I felt the Wedge pillow to hard.
I have degenerative disc disease in my back and can't deal with a bed, having to sleep every night in a recliner. So far I've only used this product when traveling, but it's been really helpful in that I can sleep without requiring a recliner. I"m not a tall person, but I find that it feels as though it should be longer and wider, as there's nowhere to put your arms. I end up with multiple pillows all around me. I'm questioning the 7 positions that are mentioned in the description. Nothing in the paper that came with the bed illustrates them. Does anybody know what they are?
worth every penny! finally some relief
I use it on my sofa for naps. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and it helps alleviate the pressure points in my back and hips, I often break it down and take the leg portion to bed with me. It is exactly what I need and I do not find it to narrow, an excellent purchase.
Configurations for the most part are not comfortable without further adjustments with additional pillows. Back support leaves your head at an unnatural angle. The wedges are rock hard.
I have an extremely bad back with small fractures and Spondylolisthesis. I bought the back and joint pain reliever and it was horrible so I was concerned about buying this. I love it! I always read before going to sleep or watch TV for a while. It completely takes the pressure off my lower back. Highly recommend for low back pain sufferers!
Im only 5'6 and the foot rest was too short for my body. I felt the bed was not only too hard, but also needed arm rests. I returned the product.
My daughter is handicapped and she sleeps in a hospital bed. When we vacation she can not lay in a flat bed because she is used to being elevated in the hospital bed. She likes this because it gives her the same position as the hospital bed. I have to put large pillows on the sides so she doesn't feel like she is going to fall. Not that she is going to but this is a new position for her and she gets nervous with new things. It is great for an average size person but I could see where it may not fit a large person.
Thank you I am trying it and so far it's good
Since my accident in 2010 travel has been very painful. I have an adjustable at home which helps reduce some pain. But since the purchase of the back max bed wedge travel is now not as painful.
It seems to work just fine. It's comfortable. I wouldn't mind if it were a bit wider. I used it on the couch when I had a backache and it helped a lot.
