Expanding Tray Table has a flip-open top to give you lots of extra elbow room.
Slide it up and under your chair or couch to use as a standard tray table, or open the hinged top panels to create a 2-ft. wide work or serving area. Wooden slides pull out on both sides to support the flip-out panels so you have an even, sturdy surface. Use the Expanding Tray Table for snacks while you're watching TV, or as a handy spot for your laptop or crossword puzzle. The Expanding Tray Table features a sleek black metal frame with wood veneer top in rubbed walnut and heavy-duty metal hinges.
Benefits of the Expanding Tray Table:
Purchased these tables for using laptop while watching TV. Very sturdy and easy to assemble! Very nice solid wood tops that looks rich. The fold out sections really give extra space when needed.
Nice table - easy to assemble. Design flaw results in side braces being insufficiently tight to ensure they provide support for the opened sides of the table. They hang loose below the sides and serve little purpose because if an item were heavy enough to bend the side down until it contacted, it would fall off onto the floor.
Very well built. Study and useful. Above expectations.
I need a side table that does not take up space, but adds the convenience of a table for reading, or using the computer. !It is big enough, I can have everything I need at my fingertips. !Great for an apartment or tight spaces.
I love this table, I bought two.
Great design idea just not completely executed. Nice looking, well made, super easy to assemble. The wood looking top seems to be waterproof, meaning you can set drinks on it without worrying of the residual water mark. The fold-open sides don't lay flat as in the picture, they sag a bit down from the stable, main part of the table. Ok if you are just using it for a laptop but nowhere near sturdy enough to set anything on the 'flaps'. I'm really disappointed as I already had a "C" table that was far more stylish. I didn't bother to return.
I bought both an expanding tray Table and the chair table with the drawer. Very good quality, it is really nice how they slide under the chair or couch.
I bought this a month ago to use in our family room while we watch TV. It is excellent! Only problem is some of the plastic caps come off and one of the wooden pages to support the table when open is hard ti pull out. None of these are a big deal. I had been looking for a set of tables like these (I bought 2) for while an dam very happy I go them.
We wanted a small table for a laptop, drink glasses, snacks, etc., that wouldn't take up too much space and would slide easily under the sofa so that we could conveniently position the table wherever we needed it. !We looked at a lot of tables, but this one had the smallest footprint while providing the most table space. !The folding-leaf top adds additional flexibility and convenience. !The table looks great whether open or closed. !The table is well made, very sturdy, and very easy to assemble. !The wood finish is excellent. !One minor comment: !The wooden "extension arms" that support the folding leaves in the open position do not actually provide any support - there's a space between the table and the arms. !Also, the extension arms, which are roughly finished, are not all that attractive when the top is in the folded position - they detract from the sleek, minimalist design. !But the heavy-duty hinges of the folding leaves are designed to fully support the leaves anyway, so the extension arms are superfluous. !I removed them, and the table now looks great in either position.
This table is easy to set up and very handy to have for eating or doing work on the sofa. It's also aesthetically pleasing for the most part. Only problem is that for the bottom screws, the pre-drilled holes were faulty and so the screws could not go in. Not a big deal if you have a carpet but would imagine it might a problem with hardwood floor.
I purchased this a month ago and it works well. However, when both sides are opened to expand the table surface, the expansions droop down a bit, so the surface is not completely even.
My goal was to set up an Epson printer on this side table that matched !our good wood table in the dining area. My wife is picky, and she liked this wood grain side table when she saw it assembled. I like its strength to support !the printer, and the ease of assembly. You only need the wrench it comes with, and about 10 minutes.
I bought this for our RV, it is a wonderful table, travels well, and so great by my sofa!!! Love this table!!!
This was exactly what I was looking for in a small useful tray that I could use while watching TV and taking up little space while in use. I ordered another for a friend after she admired mine.
Just bought this for a small space - I am typing on my computer as it sits on the table - love it.
Easy to put together and looks quite good. Also solid and stable
we love these tables! Just un-fold when you need more room. The bottom slides under the couch for easy reach when in use.
The table overall is good but the slide out supports that are supposed to support the side when they are flipped open don't even touch it underneath. They just kind of flop all over. Don't put anything on the side trays that is heavy.
the expanding tray table is worth the money.
Easy to assemble and the wood finish is good.
I bought this as a gift for my husband. It was easy to assemble, looks nice in its folded position, and works well in its folded position. However, we do not plan on opening it up since the supports (wooden pegs on either side) do not come close to even touching the expanded leaves --in no way do those pegs offer any support. The only thing supporting those leaves are small hinges, two on each side.
These tables are sturdy and the finish is really pretty.
We bought two at different times and suits our need. It's sturdy, light, and easy to assemble. Only "con" is that when the tray is expanded, the folding sides do not sit very level to the center top even though it has an extension piece at the bottom sides to secure it. Anything put on the extended portion only may slide off.
Very satisfied with my purchase of the expanding table, I use it for my laptop computer and it is perfect size.
I've had this tray table for several weeks and it fulfills my needs as I had hoped it would. I use it to hold my computer so that I can watch Netflix movies in rooms without TV sets. It is sturdy and attractive so meets my needs and looks fine when not in use. I think I made a great purchase.
I do like that the stand allows you to bring things closer to you while sitting; however, I don't like the moderately usable extendable wood flaps.
Ideally, it would have been great if a strong retractable metal was used to provide a closer leveled support of the extendable flaps instead of the fixed sized wood support beam.
Basically, the fixed sized wood bars don't provide a leveled support of the extendable; thus I am constantly concern with have anything sitting on flaps when they are open or I don't use them limiting my usable space to the center which is not ideal considering the size.
I like the product otherwise; thus I am considering augmenting the product versus sending it back.
Great addition to my living room! Easy to assemble and very sturdy. I had been looking for something like this for a while; imagine my surprise when I found it in a catalog while flying.
The Table arrived on time looks great works great..I should have bought two
I need a narrow table that would fit is a 15in space as an end table - this fits the space and if I need to move it or make it larger, I can do that without much effort - Love it!
This arrived and I assembled it in short order. It is built very well and
I just love it. It is a perfect compliment to my living room and now is my
main eating table if I am watching TV.
The tray table is compact & fits nicely under couch. The only drawback is a little difficulty lifting the expanding part. There is no lip or indent to get ahold of it so it can pinch your fingers.
This is a piece of furniture. Very sturdy and very quick to put together
I bought this for my mother who lives in assisted living and has limited space. I was impressed by the quality and my husband assembled it in 15 minutes. Mom really likes the look but has not used it yet.
I've been looking for the right. Table like this for a while. I was so happy to find one like this with fold out extentions!
Just what I expected. Easy to assemble. Arrived on time. Nice looking. I use them as end tables until I need them as TV trays.
The tables are of great quality and are very sturdy as well. The table is also easy to assemble.
Very functional--right height, right size. We use then when watching TV. They are large enough to have a plate or two, a drink, and a remote. The tables are sturdy and well-designed, and the extensions lay flat.
Got the table and during assembly realized one of the pieces was short one and another had one too many. Had to modify the extra piece to work. No big deal, would have been nice just to put it togrther.
I bought this for our training room. It has come in handy several times. We may need to buy more!
I thought this would be the perfect table for our motor home. We took it on our trip, went to assemble it and couldn't due to wrong parts. Very disappointing:(
I bought this as a gift. Easy to put together!!! The table is great quality and expands open with support rails underneath each leaf. Perfect size for my hubby to eat a quick meal in front of the TV, then slides away to the side of our couch and wall, to double as a side table.
We just received it, after a lengthy wait because it was out of stock, but it was worth it because not only does it look attractive, it is so functional....easy to work off of with my laptop, or to eat a meal when wanting a lazy in-front-of-the-TV kind of evening and I plan to order more of these for my kids.
