The Hand Reflexology Massager.
Similar to hand reflexology, this massager applies gentle compression to trigger points on the palm and back of the hand. The soothing rhythm of its mechanical air pressure system helps relieve tension and fatigue associated with extended keyboard and mouse usage. After a hand is inserted into the soft polyester interior, a push of a button begins a 5-, 10-, or 15-minute session at one of four pressure levels. It can also provide far infrared heat to promote better circulation.
Requires four AA batteries.
10-1/4" L x 7-3/4" W x 9-3/4" D; (2-3/4 lbs.)
This hand massager was purchased as a gift for a friend that has problems with her hands. Upon receiving the gift, she immediately tried it, contacted us and said it was the most wonderful thing she could receive. She state that she enjoys it several times a day, that it gives her some movement flexibility which is what we were hoping. With that said, we thank you for having it in the Sky Mall magazine.
my husband has arthritis problems in his hands and this massager turned out to be very helpful to him. He really likes it and uses it every day.
I love it! The directions were easy to understand, and I began using it immediately. I spend long hours in front of a computer, and I found that the massager made my hands more limber and flexible. It also helped make my joints less stiff. It is a soothing and enjoyable experience, and has a number of settings. I am thinking about getting one for my mother-in-law, who is always complaining about herr hands. Also, it comes with a great hard case to keep it in and takes up very little room.
This unit is good for the people typing on the computer keyboard all day long to relax their hands. You can adjust the pressure and time to suit your needs, but the heating feature was not really noticable.
I was really excited to purchase this unit for my dad. He has hand cramps and this was supposed to give "gentle compression" and "infrared heat" which would have been just what he needed to feel better. The unit came and, to be honest, was a huge dissappointment. An average sized hand doesn't fit into the unit and the "gentle compression" was a very uncomfortable squeeze that caused Dad's hand to cramp even more. There was absolutely no heat to this product at all and I actually thought the heater was broken. After checking on this, I determined that there really isn't "heat." It doesn't even get warm. We returned the product and SkyMall was wonderful about the return. For that reason, I will feel comfortable ordering from them again.
This item was purchased for my wife. She uses it every night to relax her hands. We are quite happy with the purchase.
MY HUSBAND HAD A STROKE & THIS HELPS MASSAGE HIS HAND THAT ALWAYS HURTS HIM.
This is an excellent machine for hand massage, I suffer from Dupetryns and arthritis. The only part I wish was better was that the heat would be more pronounced....it is barely there.
This Hand Massager relaxes not only my hands but my entire body. Love it!
We are hoping that this massager will help my husbands hand. 4 years ago he had a massive brain annuerysm which caused 2 strokes and has effected the left side of his body and he is not able to use his left hand very much. Hoping that the massaging will help him to use his hand more. It is a very nice machine and really makes the hand feel great!!
Have stage 4 arthritis in my right hand which is aggravated by Parkinson shakes.... this massager as given great relief.
This massager has potential but it's a little harsh for me. It applies a lot of pressure to the point of cutting off my circulation so when it releases it's a relief. My husband likes it better than I do, maybe it's made for larger, tougher hands, but even the most gentle setting is a bit too much pressure for me.
sadly there really is no "heat", but the massaging action more than makes up for it. I have arthritus in my hands and this feels really good, I'm glad I treated myself.
I bought this massager !about a month ago and i am very disappointed with it I am truly sorry I wasted !so much money it. !It certainly does not live up to the advertisement.
In theory it sounds like a great product. In reality it doesn't work nearly as well as I theorized it would. The level of pressure it exerts on my hand simply doesn't do the trick for me. Maybe if I had smaller more delicate hands it would be sufficient, but I'm a man with moderately large hands and I guess I just need more pressure to get any worthwhile effect. Even with the setting at its maximum level, I was still left feeling disappointed. I'm not saying it isn't a good product for someone with smaller or more sensitive hands. But for me it just didn't cut it. Another thing I wasn't aware of was how noisy it is. If you use it while watching TV or with someone who likes quiet, this product will be a nuisance. Ultimately I returned it for a refund.!
My wife works on a keyboard all day long, which becomes problematic with her arthritis. At times it's extremely painful for her as she has an arthritic condition that's more commonly known as "swan neck" with her fingers. This massager helps her find relief from the pain. In fact, this particular purchase is now the second unit like this, that we now own. The first one I bought a year ago, and was for home use. Even though it's not a really sturdy looking massager, it has held up just fine and continues to work after many repeated uses. (I get the impression that if a person dropped it, the plastic case would likely break.) This latest purchase was for my wife to keep at work, for the occasions when the pain gets severe. One thing to note: The product descriptions may have changed over time. However, when I bought the first unit, I had wondered if it also had a vibrating feature as so many massagers do. Understand that this unit only has the pulsating "squeezing effect" from the inflatable insert that you stick your hand into. It also has heat, but it's somewhat mild. Regardless, the unit works much better than we expected without offering vibration. The fact that we bought a second one is a testimony to what we think about this device.
Returned it. Not what we had anticipated. Did not find it relaxing or soothing.
I bought two of these but am NOT happy with them. They really don't do a good massage.
bought recently and my wife loves it
Doesn't do a good enough job of simulating a hand massage.
I love hand massages----this isn't a hand massage. The device squeezes on your hand. Not totally worthless.
My wife has this pain in her hands, specially when cold or it's going to rain. With this Massager she feels a great relieve. Thanks!
I love this massager. My hands hurt often, so I love a good massage on them. This machine almost gives as good of hand massages as my wife, but it lasts longer. The battery life is surprisingly good.
