Select a size from the drop-down box.
The back board is a bit flimsy and difficult to install. The shelfs are also flimsy. They could have used thicker and stronger components in their design. The black color is only average looking in appearance.
Other than that, it is a good shelf and it serves the purpose.
stores many dvds and is very attractive
I love the fact that it stores so many in such a small space
and that it is so attractive and that it is such a beautiful piece of furniture
This storage tower allowed us to put all our DVDs in one place instead of stuffed in cabinets around the house. My kids alphabatzied the 700+ DVDs so that we can find them easily on the shelves
everything that i asked for at a very reasonable cost.
I find this storage tower fits my needs very well. It is elegant and decent quality. I guess with current times the price may seem fare, but I feel it was a bit expense. I am still pleased and it fits my needs :)
The vertical trim blocks the visibility of the first and last cd on each shelf. The trim is a bit flimsy. Overall, CD storage tower works but I expected more.
I bought a shorter but wider CD storage unit from Skymall a few years ago and it was of much better quality. The wood was thicker and felt solid. This storage tower has thinner shelves and panels, therefore giving it a feel of lesser quality.
Excellent outer construction and wood quality, but shelves are very flimsy; too much weight bows them down. I have several books on one of the shelves and every few weeks I flip the boards over so the shelf does not concave. A shelf full of DVDs is slightly bowed, but hardly noticeable.
This is a very well made cd tower that was easy to assemble and it works well if you don't completely fill up the shelves. However, the side trim pieces overlap the shelves so that if you completely fill the shelf, you can't remove the outside cds without taking some from the middle first. My fix was to put an empty cd case at both ends of every shelf. That means that with 13 shelves, there could have been 26 more cds stored if the trim didn't extend into the shelving area.
The product was relatively simple to assemble, although you do need some room to put the whole thing together. The major problem is that the selves "bow" even with the additional middle support. The description given suggests that bowing should not be a problem.
This is a space-efficient, high capacity CD storage system. We purchased four of them for a radio station Music Library. They basically do the job. They require A LOT of assembly. We have a strong able-bodied man who worked HARD to put these together and set them in place. The one major draw-back of these units is that the actual shelves are of a laminate construction that bend under the weight of the CDs. Our folks constructed some supports that compensated but, if you plan to fully fill these shelves, consider a different product. These shelves bend. Also, the vertical trim boards conceal the spines of the far left and right cases on each shelf.
There are a couple of issues with this storage tower, but the biggest is the shelves. The shelves are extremely thin. Filling up the shelves with strictly standard single DVDs will, over time, cause the shelves to sag. Putting a multi DVD box set on these shelves is almost out of the question; in no time they will sag. I have had to double up the shelves, using two or more instead of one and every month I have to go through, take all the DVDs down, and flip the shelves, now starting with them bowing up. Another issue is the two vertical columns that divide the tower into thirds. These columns are unfinished so you really need to add the supplied fascias that are easy to attach. My issue here is the fascias are an inch or more wider than they need to be (on each side). If your shelve is full of DVDs, the first two and the last two on each shelve are hidden. As my DVD (and now HDDVD/BlueRay) collection has grown, I keep out growing storage towers. I’ve had many, and this one is the worst. I can’t wait to out grow it.
This was easy enough to assemble, but clear a large space first to do so. The pieces were clearly identified. However, the final product is somewhat flimsy and not as substantial as we had hoped. The shelves do droop with the weight of CDs on them.
good for the price
Everything I hoped it would be.
We purchased two of these towers to replace our ever growing dvd / bluray collection. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow, the construction was easy to accomplish, and the finished product is beautifull! Short of having custom shelving made, this is product is the best!
We ordered two of these and they are very nice. Just the right size for storing CD's, DVD's and most paper-back books. Easy to assemble with ONE caveat. One set of screws has 14 screws where the directions clearly call for 16 of that size to be used in the assembly. Otherwise, we'd HIGHLY recommend these units, the price is right, they don't over-power the room they sit in and fill the function of DVD/CD storage wonderfully.
Exactly what the wife wanted and needed for the space it needed to fit...
Holds a lot of DVDs and my wife put all her CDs on the top shelf on both sides too.
Item as described. Fast delievery!
I am very happy with this product. I had reservations when ordering it, but it is even better than what I had expected. It assembled easily. It is well constructed and has room for all my CDs and DVDs. I also appreciate the narrow depth since I had space that does not accomodate most competing products.
The media tower is looks great in any room and since it is so slim, it does not take up too much space. The only problem was that one piece was missing but we called customer service and they sent the missing piece in about a week.
We have been looking for a reasonallbly priced case for our several hundred DVDs that matched the other furniture in our living room. We wanted something that looked great, took up as little space as possible, and maximized our very high ceilings. This unit is perfect. In fact, when we fill it up, we plan to buy another one just like it!
I looked everywhere (retail and online) for a sturdy, plain CD/DVD/VCR tape holder with adjustable shelves that would allow me to organize my collection to suit me. This product met all my requirements.
I added self-adhesive felt pads. Fully loaded, it can be moved across the hardwood floor. This would be near impossible on carpet because of the weight, not because of the construciton of the unit. You might use a hand truck in either situation.
The illustrsted drections made assembly relatively easy. Some steps require multiple applications of the same picture but don't say so. The English translation is a bit weird.
Be sure to use all six shelf supports for each shelf, since the shelves are rather light-weight. Mixing media types on the same shelf wastes space. Start with DVDs on the bottom, then begin placement of CDs.
Also available in a double and triple configuration -- the largest would hold a huge collection!
I would definitely recommend this product.
Not a bad value. The thin back pieces were in various states, a couple warped badly, but we were able to get it together by using super glue to hold it. Overall, it will be fine for our purpose.
The shelves are suppossed to hold media (CD's DVDs etc), but they are very thin and bow under the weight. I had some extra shelves so tried doubling them under the CD cases, but still they are bowing.
Assembly instructions were very good and the product was easy to assemble. Finished media storage tower also looks very good.
The back panels are not designed well and require the use of shims to allow shelves to rest on supports. A very disappointing product.
Storage Tower was delivered super fast and very well packed for shipping. It went together perfectly with easy to follow instructions. Looks better in person than the pictures show. Very happy with purchase and a Great Bargin for what you get.
This is the second one I've bought in a month. They look good and take the place of five diffrent other storage towers i had.
This is a massive shelf set and was not too hard to assemble. it looks nice when put together. The strip on the front makes the last dvd on a shelf tough to get out and hides it from view. THE biggest problem with this shelf set is the shelves themselves are flimsy and bend under the weight of a stack of dvds. You can double up the shelves to add thickness to the shelves and it is a little better but bottom line the shelving material is not sturdy enough to prevent bowing over time.
It is a very strong, sturdy way to store al your media. Cds, DVDs, or even books it looks sharp, and is easy to assemble.
Instructions are pretty good, and the quality of finish is OK. Overall, the fit of parts was pretty good except for the back panels, which were very difficult to get in and never did lay flush in 2 out of 3 bays. Speaking of the back panels, the holes for shelf supports on the back show through between the top of the discs and each next shelf, so it would be nice to include some black tape that would adhere to the back of the panels to cover the holes. The wood has a much stronger odor than other RTA furniture I've built. All in all, it's the only thing on the market big enough for my collection of DVDs, and if I move to a larger room, I probably will get another one for my CDs, to be consistent. The price was relatively high for the quality, but as I said, there's nothing else this big available.
This was perfect for my needs. Easy enough to assemble, big enought for everything.
This is definitly the most practical item in our living room.
It took a half day to assemble, but it is beautiful and we are loving it.
I agree with the two key flaws mentioned by the other reviewers:
1. The side pieces in front overlap, so you cannot see a CD that is all the way at either end of the shelf.
2. The shelf boards are indeed too flimsy (although they don't seem to be at first). After 6 months, I had to take all my CDs off, flip all the shelves over, and put my CDs back. I can see already I will have to do it again in another 6 months. I suppose I could stabilize the boards somehow, but for nearly $400.00, it's uncalled for.
It's a shame, because it's a great looking piece of furniture, but for these flaws, it's much too overpriced.
One plus...a support slat was broken in my shipment, and the manufacturer kindly sent a replacement piece out at no cost to me, and very quickly - I had it within days.
I bought this unit a year ago. About 6 months later the shelves bowed. Too later for a replacement, which is irrelevant, since they would replace it with the same shelves. They DID return my call a year after purchase and pretty much agreed that replacement shelves, which I would have to pay shipping on, could be sent. They're made of the same weak composite and attached to the cardboard backing. So the same problem would happen again in 6 months. The manufacurer will however, send me a new set of brackets, which he says are improved. He also acknowledged that there have been other calls with this same complaint. The only resolution would be a better shelf and this ain't gonna happen. All I can do is take my lumps and get the new brackets and flip the shelves whenever they bow so much that they'll come loose. There is no solution. You'll face this problem if you buy this product. It looks good on paper, but it's got a useful life of less than a year.
The storage unit 0does have the capacity to store an abundant number of DVD's and CD's. We expected better quality. It looks good from a distance but up close not the highest quality.
its the perfect shelf for all media, easy to assemble and fast delievery.
No worth the price paid for the item. Made of particle board and very heavy. Looks nice and holds lots of cd's and dvd's
Very attractive and easy to assembly. And works great in a small space.
I just put this together last week and I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the shelves and brackets. They are very unsturdy. For such a pretty unit, these was an extreme disappointment.
I would recommend this unit. It does take a bit of time to assemble but the quality is good and asthetically pleasing.
I bought the triple unit first, then realized I needed more shelves, so I bought the double unit next. What a great item - easy to assemble - took up very little space - and very good finish. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to store their DVD's efficiently in a small space.
I have found the media storage tower that I ordered from Sky Mall is the perfect storage case for me. It fits right into the space I have for it and it holds all those movies that had no home. Thanks for the great addition to my media room. I would give this case a 5 star in constructing and I would recommend you to a friend.
I bought one & realized they are the perfect size. I ended up buying a second one. They are a little challenging putting them together. However, the system makes it super easy to locate your DVD's & CD's. You only have to build them once and then you have years of easily filed/located DVD/CD library. Perfect if you are like me & interior design is of the upmost importance! ENJOY.
The media tower was really nice. We ordered two and now plan to order two more. They were very sturdy, easy to put together, and held lots of DVDs.
I was unbelievably impressed with the beauty and quality of this tower. I filled it very quickly with the entire collection of single DVDs. They all fit well and added a wonderful ambience to my new home. Thank you so much for this wonderful, easy to assemble, piece of furniture. Thom
we have lots of small paperback books and as everyone knows "bookshelves" are never well designed to hold books of whatever size. This shelf holds about 300 small paperbacks and looks terrific. Easy to assemble, quality materials.
The tower is exactly what I wanted and needed. I have over 1,000 DVDs, and they fit just fine.
Lots of pieces that require a lot of patience assembling! You must be very careful when assembling to keep inner panels in correct position as it's very hard to take it apart to redo it! Directions are pretty good but could be more detailed. Nice product when finished seems quite sturdy and looks nice.
This was as advertised. Assembly instructions were pictures only which made it a bit difficult to be sure it was going together properly.
This is a great Storage unit. The company was very helpful and went over and above to help me after I loss some parts.
This is the best media storage tower I have came across and am fully satisfied with my purchase. It is very durable and constructed of actual wood, not the compressed wood stuff. Looks excellent in my house and have had multiple compliments on it. I have looked all over the place for somewhere that has one that will hold as many as this one and just could not find one. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone wanting a nice place to store movies/cds.
This unit is great. It holds a lot of DVD's with out taking up a lot of floor space. I will be purchasing a 2nd one.
The media tower we purchased holds up to 480 CDs and right now we have it filled with about 360. We purchased it in black and it looks great. It was fairly easy to put together and doesn't take up too much space along our wall. My only complaint is that the shelves tend to dip down a bit in the middle from the weight of our CDs. We don't even have the shelves completely full and they still dip in the middle. I made sure it was put together correctly and the dip seems unavoidable. It's only a slight dip but I am afraid just how much it will dip when we eventually have the shelves full. Other than that, it looks great and serves it's purpose.
It works, looks nice, but they weren't kidding about assembly required. I'm sure if you're handy and prepared for that, you will be pleased. It wasn't hard, just time consuming.
The shelf looks fantastic and was completely assembled in 2 hrs. The shelves can be easily respaced to fit DVD's books games and any other product height wise. Width however could be a problem if you plan on storing any long products and the shelves are also not much deeper than a standard cd case.
It was perfect and met all of my needs. I would recommend it to anyone who has as many CDs as myself.
I love this product! It was very easy to assemble and had it up in about 30 minutes. It's depth is only slightly deeper then a DVD box and it's replacing two 6'H X 3'W X 1'D - 5 shelf storage shelves and takes up much less room in my office. I have 340+ DVDs and they only take up about 1/3 of the shelf space. I can fit all my DVDs, Blu-Rays, Games and collectables with room to spare! I would highly recommend this to anyone willing to spend the money for a great space save that is a highly attractive storage unit! I got mine in black.
The only drawback to my purchase was it was on back order and I had to contact Skymall to find this out. Skymall needs to keep the shipping/delivery status updated on their website.
I have been looking for a way to hold my almost 1700 DVDs. I saw the Media Storage Tower in a magazine on a recent airline and thought I would take a chance.
The item was a little hard to put together but with a little persistence that was quickly done. My movies fit perfectly. The construction and overall appearance is outstanding. So much so, that I have purchased a second to finish my collection.
This product is poorly made, the shelves are flimsy and do not sit evenly on the supports. Plus, it does not stand evenly and leans forward.
We cannot return it now and will try to sell it on Craigslist to recoup some of our money.
I've put together 12 bookcases and 3 desks from World Market, as well as a complete system of shelving for a walk-in closet. None were as awkward to assemble as this unit. The back uses cross braces to substitute for substandard composite materials. I put it together last week, and the shelves are already bowing on a single shelf unit. The backing board is in two pieces and didn't fit into the groove that was supposed to fit in. It looks nice from a distance, but I have no faith in it holding up.
I was somewhat hesitant but took the chance as the price point was good...not great but good as I now am about to order another one.
The finish on the vaneer is exceptional, with a nice rich deep cherry. Putting together was a snap, took me about 25 minutes from opening the box, ID all pieces, was a breeze. Shelving secured with traditional plastic tabs but very secure with the lock down counter tabs. Very nice and am pleasantly surprised!!
It is everything they say. Managed to store all my media in one tower, and it does not take any room space at all. It looks great!
Now I can see and have easy access to all of my music. I am now organized.
Beautifully designed and efficient for media storage! Since they don't stick out much from the wall, they save a lot of space in our upstairs loft for family traffic and lounging . Easy to put together!..........
Easy to put together. Unit felt very unstable with only two shelves of dvds on it. Once unit was completely full of dvd's it was more stable. I still used the supplied earthquake straps to make sure my kids did not accidently pull it down on themselves trying to reach for a dvd on upper shelf.
great "furniture", looks upscale and finally fits many of my CDs.
This was just what we were hoping to find. It wasn't difficult to assemble and the final product looks very nice! We might have to get another one!!
It is really useful and strong enough
I'd looked skeptically at the tower for several years until, given positive reviews, I took the plunge. When the (heavy) package was left at my house, I was nervous, as it had seen some rough handling and some of the cardboard was soaked. I was happy to find the pieces well packed and dry. Assembly went smoothly, and I am pleased with the tower and its capacity. The only downside is, as noted in other reviews, the lost space of about 2 CDs on the end of each row due to the front molding. I'm using empty jewel cases as spacers on the end for now, but may eventually make some wood spacers to replace them.
I wish I hadn't waited so long to try one out...
Shelves are thin and flimsy. They sag in the middle.
After much back and forth I decided to try SkyMall and see if this unit lived up to the descriptions. I have to say it surpassed every single expectation that I had. I kept thinking it was going to be too big or unstable or just not good quality. I was so wrong, it is great storage and for the first time in years I have all of my tapes, dvd's, Disney movies in one place and I even have a little space for growth. This unit has been an excellent addition to my home! The unit arrived in time and in good shape, was well packed with all of the pieces in the package
This wooden storage case holds a large amount if DVDs and VHS tapes. It is very attractive, easy to assemble, and shipped quickly. We are very pleased with this purchase and have always had great customer service with Skymall.
Great purchase for people who have lots of CDs, DVDs or other items similar to these that need to be stored for access. I used to have these stacked against a wall and when I needed to find one, it was a nightmare locating it. This case eliminates that problem and keeps things in good order for quick access.
Love this product. I have 7 of these (single, double, & triple models) and if I had more CDs I would order more shelves. I have 11,000 CDs that are all handled easily and pleasing to the eye. I have noticed that some shelves will bend more than others but can be handled by using the provided buttons to strengthen the shelves. I would recommend this product to any avid music collector.
I am pleased with the Media Storage Tower 50" Triple to the point of the quality of the support portion of the Tower. However, the actual shelves are terrible. They are far too thin to support the DVD's weight properly. The shelves bow under the weight of the DVD's. I have had someone remake all of the shelves in a thicker wood which has transformed this Tower into exactly what I thought I was purchasing. I am totally happy with my Tower now!
it's GREAT. Holds a ton of CD's and looks nice too.
Super easy to assemble and very sturdy. Definitely worth the price compared to many of the other flimsy shelving units I've had in the past.
I was weary of the price but if take your time and install the rack according to the instructions (including the little round pegs that go above the shelves) it becomes a solid piece of furniture. I then unloaded DVDs from my old rack which consumed half of this rack, the shelves are holding strong (no bending).
Note that I am only storing DVDs and a fully loaded shelf is probably 1/3 the weight of CDs. So I can't speak to the strength holding CDs.
This is a great storage unit for DVDs, but there are two flaws that buyers should know about.
First, the wood that is used for the horizontal storage shelves is not the strongest. As such, "bowing" is possible if too many DVDs are placed on the shelf. Seems to me that using a higher quality of wood would help solve this problem.
Second, the unit was designed in such a way that DVDs on the sides of the shelves "disappear" and can't be easily found/accessed. Not a big deal, since this only is a problem for at most two DVDs on a fully-stocked shelf -- which, as discussed above, is probably something that you don't want to do.
Otherwise, the unit really does do the job. We're not talking heirloom furniture here. Despite the above issues, I like it!
straightforward assembly but which requires careful attention to instructions. checking all parts have been received is also a must. alignment of the shelving holes in the various components is sometimes less than accurate. recommend screws of rear supporting struts are not fully tightened until shelving support holes in back panels are aligned with each other and the side panels. unit is very attractive when completed.
Takes a little while to set up, not too tough. Should work well for it's intended purpose. The fit and finish aren't as good as I'd hoped, but overall it will get the job done.
Media storage tower is even better than the pictures. Assembly was super easy, and the color fit with everything else in my family room.
I have (3) single tower, (2) double, & (3) triple 76" media towers. All are being utilized at full capacity and then some holding my 11,000 CDs. They look great and make finding music easy. I personally like the oak finish the best but they are all great.
This particular media storage unit is quite nice with a number of shelves for which the vertical spacing can be changed to meet ones needs. The choice to do so is great. Since it does take a little time to put together, it takes a little patience, but it's worth the wait.
I was pleased with the delivery and the product.
Easy to put together and looks great! I have over 700 cd's so I bought 2 of the 50" double towers. Holds our DVD's also! We love them!
We were VERY happy that the description said "Made in the USA". The fact that we could order it in white was great, and frankly wouldn't have ordered it if white wasn't a choice. We were happy with delivery speed and condition of the parts (not banged up or chipped like everything from those other places). The negatives that we were a bit shocked to discover and frankly are a bit disappointed in are the following: The shelves are so very thin they have only been up a few days and are sagging already. They are much too thin for holding CD and DVD weight. The sagging problem might not be quite as bad if the backs had holes that lined up with the sides in order to use the center supports. The cabinet has been put together correctly and the only section (we bought the 3 section unit) that all lines up is the center section. Both the left and right sections have holes that don't line up with each other in the back nor with their counterparts on the sides so in some cases we have no center supports and in others we have only 1, with the except of the center section which has 2 on all shelves (and still sags because the shelves are so thin). We have white built-ins across the room so the cabinet looks great and holds everything we need it to but just a bit better workmanship and this would be top notch.
It is just as it says, a very large CD/DVD rack.
Installation instructions are the usual hieroglyphics and a bit tough to understand, but it goes together.
The moulding on the front of the vertical supports, however, allows CDs or DVDs to slip in to never-never land where they can't be seen without shuffling the row. Eliminating the overhang or providing spacers to keep them from sliding all the way in would be very nice.
I bought a similar product from another vendor and had to return it twice for poor condition after shipping and wrong color! Finally demanded my money back! The SkyMall product meets all my expectations: reasonable price, prompt shipping, excellent quality materials and a true "cherry" color. I'd buy another one right away if I needed it!
This Media Storage Tower is the most poorly constructed piece of furniture that I have ever purchased. Unfortunately my husband put it together while I was not at home, otherwise I would have returned it immediately. The shelves themselves are so flimsy that they sag in the middle even with the brackets in place. All in all, just the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. I would definitely NOT buy anything else made by Venture.
like the finished product but assembly directions poor.. took my friend and I four hours to complete assembling the product.. several questions along the way and photos of assemblage ambiguous... no explanation for support pins and check list to follow before putting in cds. Need an explanation for where all the pins go, especially for the holes in the back of unit.. did not realized pins were needed there for support of the shelves..... anyway it is up and useful for many cd storage but a real pain to figure out and assemble... one person could not do it safely nor easily...need a good friend to help, flashlights and a lot of patience.... maybe it should be delivered already assembled.... probably would not buy another one due to assemblage issues.....love music cds but would find another option for storage..... bricks and boards!!
Very good quality, very good looking. Looks like furniture, not just a mis-matched shelf. I did have to hire someone to assemble it.
Every time I flew, I looked at SkyMall, lusting after this CD storage tower. It seemed like the grand daddy of media storage units. Sleek. Elegant. A total prestige piece for the serious disc collector. I read the reviews -- it seemed like older reviews complained of a sagging problem, but newer reviews showed a fix was in place. So I splurged. By the time shipping and taxes were added, I was in for $490.
I assembled the unit as directed. The directions were easy to follow. The first problem came with the three support beams that go top to bottom in the back of the unit, along the center way of each shelf column. The wood they use is too cheap and weak to work with the anchor mounts they supplied (see photos). The steel anchors are too wide to fit into the center beam's pre-drilled holes. Just placing them in causes the glued-on top portion of the center beam to split from the rest of the beam.
With some wood glue, we moved on.
The rest of the cherry laminate wood is nice quality. When assembled, the unit is very handsome.
Problem #2 is the moulding. It is wider than the column, so it hides four CD's on every shelf (two on each side) -- deduct 144 CDs from the 2262 the unit promises to hold (then again, this is a good place to hide your guilty pleasure albums).
Problem #3 is the shelves themselves. The shelf laminate wood is too thin, too cheap and too long to handle a full load of CDs in standard jewel cases. They would have been better off making this storage center a six column unit than a three column one. For that quality shelf, twice the thickness or half the width would do the trick.
To fix it, I am going to cut and install 36 1-inch wide center support bars that will tightly wedge into the center of each shelf to keep em from bowing and snapping. I am also going to replace the side moulding with thinner moulding so that the side CDs will be visible.
I would recommend this unit as a "running start" for someone who wants to display their collection, but has some wood working skills to fix the problems. Anyone looking for plug and play solution is suggested to order a custom unit from a local woodworker (likely costing between $1000 and $1500) -- or buy this unit as is, and have a wood specialist or handy person make the necessary improvements and deliver it to you.
Great product. This is the second one I bought this year. If you use the round pegs provided, the last step in the instructions, the unit's shelves do not buckle. I bought and built the first unit in February 2013 and it still looks just as amazing and beautiful as the day I built it. I would 110% recomment this item to anyone who wants to showcase their colllection in an amaziningly awesome beautiful piece of furniture.
There are four vertical molding pieces on the front of the unit. The problem is that they are a couple of inches wide and thy actually hide some of the CD's on the shelf. If you want to be able to see all of your CD's by title on the shelf, this will be an issue for you as some CD's will be hidden behind the molding.
I bought two of these units several months ago in anticipation of the construction of a new home office in our house. the construction is complete and I put together the units. they assembled easily, but it is obvious that this is quality workmanship and design. they look great in my room.
I bought this about 4 weeks ago, I put it together by myself, no problems, really nice quality product, I will be purchasing again from skymall.
The shelf is exactly what we wanted. Although it was somewhat time consuming to put together, it was worth it.
I wouldrecommend this shelf to anyone looking for this type of storage solution.
I really like this product however I found the assembly instructions rather vague and had to devote quite a bit of time to complete the project I also ran into difficulty upon its delivery as these cases are quite heavy and are awkward to move ! !!
bought for new years gift glad when i saw the book on the air plane my finance love it it's all ready filled he have more dvd's to put up i've been looking for something for years thanks
I wanted something to store my DVDs and CDs. This product looked good in the catalog, but came up lacking when I put it together. Not sturdy at all.
Easy to assemble, fast delivery.
I debated buying this due to mixed reviews. However, very pleased. Easy to assembly. Quality good for price and perfect for my stampin up cases.
Almost any kind of media storage unit will be made of particle board like this one, unless you pay a carpenter to make one. But once it was put together with all the DVDs in it, it seemed, ad seems pretty solid, and it was just the right dimensions to fit in my den
I bought this media tower and was surprised how nice it looks. It is a very functional, good looking piece of furniture.
We purchaed to used in a back hall as a space for paperback books --- works great and does not take up too much hall space -- we are considering purchasing another unit!
We absolutely love it- we had DVD's all over the house, now they are all in one covenient location.
We are just putting our new media storage rack together! We have ordered two before this one and are very happy with all of them!
My husband is a DVD / BluRay collector. We bought a double storage unit and needed a little more storage for the HBO and BBC series he has purchased. The units are sturdy, decorative and very functional with adjustable shelves. We put them in our office walk in closet.
Not hard to put together. Helps to really study each illustration before
starting each building step.
I expected better for the price. Outrageous shipping. You might get the same effect if you spray painted cardboard. Once built you cannot move it because there is no where secure enough to pick it up from.
Low profile against the wall, just what i required in a small space. Wish the shelves themselves were a little thicker/more rigid as they are ever so slightly bowed under the weight of a full shelf of DVDs. Doubled them up and they are good.
Easily assembled; holds all our CDs
I am extremely dissatisfied and unhappy with this product. The shelves are so thin they sag when loaded. The suggestion to add pin supports to eliminate sagging doesn't work. I'm ready to throw it away as ugly and useless.
I did not know that the unit was not assembled. The shelves seem too delicate. Do not recommend.
I am enjoying it. Concentrated the DVDs and CDs in one place.
It looks gorgeous and arrived quickly. However, the shelves bow. It may have the capacity for a given number of CDs, but the shelves cannot handle the weight.
Very cheap product n ain't worth paying $400 hundred something. It ain't worth waiting for it n I can't believe it took skymall so long to shipped my order. I would never ever place an order no more.
Well designed. Great construction.
We are very happy with our Media Tower. It looks gorgeous and was relatively e to put together.
I purchased this tower about 3 weeks ago. It was easy to put together and sturdy. Worth the money and looks great with the rest of the furniture. I had more CDs and DVDs than I thought, so I just place an order for a 50" double tower.
I badly needed a way to consolidate my CD collection and the Media Storage Tower was the perfect solution. Assembly directions were easy to follow.
Was a bit of a challenge to assemble as instructions were not as clear as they could be. Ran into trouble with the back panels not matching correctly. The holes in them for the shelve support, one was higher than the other. Panels are not marked as to whether there is a top or bottom. When done, only one support contacts shelf in the center. Wasn’t about to disassemble to see if it could be corrected. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN MARKED IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
Pre drilled hole on back side didn’t in one case keep screw from breaking out into the inside of side panel. Fortunately isn’t very noticeable. A bit disappointed with thickness of shelves. Not sure they will hold up under the weight of media. Time will tell. Didn’t like the front caps that dress up the front edge of the vertical partitions as they create a dead gone into which media hides. Difficult to remove them. Had to use son packing material to fill the void. Poor design.
All in all fairly satisfied with unit. Solves my storage issues but a bit more than I wanted to spend considering the materials provided and assembly issues.
