Kurt Shaffer 'Lily Abstract' Gallery Wrapped Canvas Art

Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to the back of the wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.

Kurt Shaffer Bio

Being a self-taught photographer since age 13 (1970), I continue to learn the fine art of photography, especially in this fantastic digital age! And though I do not manipulate or 'Photoshop' my fine art photography, Photoshop is a valuable tool in my business and if I ever change anything in my work, it is to make it look more like it was when I took the photo.

My love of the earth feeds my photographic creativity and is true therapy for me. And when photographing people, capturing the nature in people is my intent and what I do. I know this is true, because when I am told "this is the first photo of me I love!" it is extremely gratifying.

Other commercial work such as photographing architectural interiors and products is equally satisfying as it demands strict attention to detail and keeps me very sharp - just like the images I capture for you.
