Road Refresher Water Bowl 4 5 2 3
good for dogs who arent big chewers This is quite good at minimizing spillage. Please note: I used this product for a holiday stay instead of in-vehicle use. Regarding vehicle use the velcro on the bottom sticxks well to the floor of a car.In home it minimized spills from a number of tips and even full flips of the water bowl from a 50lb overexcited pup. It did great with when the dogs slid it around on the tile. Water leaks slowly and tends to stay inside the dish when splashing. It was a great alternative to the stainless dog dishes I usually use... sometimes most of that water winds up on the floor when one dog pulls the bowl around with her paw. This is not the most robust to large chewing dogs though. It is sized best for small and medium sized dogs to me, yet suitable for large dogs where needed. (Just might have to refill the bowl durring the day).**I wish to see this product made in a stainless steel version ( and larger would be nice too, whichincase I'm focusing on the apsects other than the portability).**My dogs practically inhale their water and I wish to avoid the risk of bloat, so I commonly must give the dogs a small bit of water in the morning at a time for a while. Otherwise the particularly overzealous one repeatedly burps. The lid was slightly hard for me to snap off but very doable. My dogs first chewed the black rim/lid, then moved on to the outter bowl. They might have only started chewing it either trying to pick it up and carry it or pull it away from eachother because only 1 dog nose can fit in at a time.Bottom line:Good for car use, good for dogs who aren't particularly destructive. Slows water drinking down to prevent bloat (though I believe that is most common in large breeds), but also minimizes splashing which is nice in house and in vehicle. It can help floppy ears stay drier (though that is by obvious design, not experience; In that case it'd probably be great for large dogs). December 31, 2010
Pets traveling water bowl We all have carried water in our vehicles for our pets. This water bowl does not slip, slide, or slop. It has kept my carpeting in my van DRY. December 14, 2009
