Made in Germany, this is a working model of a Liebherr 1045-4.1 truck-mounted telescopic crane. Manufacturing mobile cranes since 1949, Liebherr is renowned for developing some of the world's largest mining and digging machines. Two hand-controlled knobs extend the crane's telescoping boom a full 4' into the air. The locking, hand-crank winch raises and lowers the "cable" and the weighted grappling hook to secure objects up to 3 lbs. for lifting. The entire crane structure pivots 360 degrees on the bed of the truck, and the crane operator's cab door slides open to reveal inner cab details. A removable counterweight opens for filling with marbles, coins or other weights. Four outriggers secure the truck during operation. Hinged engine cowling opens to reveal engine details.
Includes five 9-1/2"-long, realistically textured logs for grappling with the crane.
