I can breathe again I tried the shUVee because my son plays basketball and the odor is so bad from his shoes. We have tried so many things, (commercial and creative). His shoes were putrid, but his game shoes. It has been a perpetual issue, and I got desperate. I didn't think this was working. The first round took over 12 hours. During that time the odor was intensified. We kept at it and after multiple treatments we could hold the shoes in our hands and the odor was not completely gone, but mild. I believe if I keep up the sessions with new shoes it will be great. These shoes cost so much it is huge. I am using it for other family shoes with great success. If you exercise, buy this. ShuVee As far as stinky shoes -- that would be my 9 year old son. So, thought this product would be a life-saver. Easy to put together -- arrived promptly. Did not like the fact that anything over 100.00 free shipping -- oh yea, they made sure it was $99.99. How sad is that but stupid me---just really noticed that now --- buy on amazon if you really would like to try - around $80 something and free shipping. Now for the product -- like I said - easy to put together and lasted one night before a bulb blew out -- yep -- said they should last about 4 years approximately -- mine lasted a little over 24 and green light never came on so apparently the whole machine was broke from the start. I just really lost all faith in this product which is so sad because I really, really wanted to it work. September 2, 2012
Still Stinky To summarize first, as far as I can tell, this product does not work as advertised. It arrived promptly, it's easy to put together. But after trying it based on the instructions, my running shoes appear to still be fairly stinky. I consider myself, by the way, to be pretty average. No excessive problems with smelly shoes, but I'm training for a marathon, use four different pairs of running shoes, have noticed that they don't smell great. But after days of using the shUVee Shoe Deodorizer, there's no discernable difference. Planning on returning them for a refund. July 9, 2012
has functionality on the uv sistem I believe, already read about, now in relation to smell not felt a good result, I put football boot to test right after a game of football, have not seen major improvements. June 5, 2012
