Dwight Gooden known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K epitomized the 'gotta believe' Mets in the mid- 80's.
Throughout his career Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series in 1986. He finished his career with the crosstown rival Yankees with a .634 winning percentage and 2293 strikeouts to his credit. And during the Yankees magical 1996 season Gooden pitched a no-hitter against the Mariners on May 14. The player who routinely hit 95 mph on the radar gun as a rookie in 1984 was back for one more fleeting moment. His fastball was back.
Doc Gooden has hand signed this MLB baseball. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
