I was peering over the shoulder of one of our master watchmakers when I had an idea. The intricate and amazingly complex hardware that goes into every mechanical watch has always fascinated me. Perhaps the real beauty was in the machine. There are more than 130 delicate parts working together to mark time. Why hide them?
Our new Stauer Verite (French for "truth") gives you an unobstructed view inside the inner workings of time itself. Modern materials have helped create nothing less than a revolution in watch design, allowing for smaller mechanical parts, lighter construction and accuracy that history's great horologists could have only dreamed about. Since some of our most popular timepieces feature open case backs, it seemed clear that our clients appreciated transparency. It was time to lose face.
The Stauer Verite skips the idea of an opaque dial and gives you a clear, front-to-back view of the watch mechanics. No part of the masterpiece is obscured. The Stauer Verite is a symphony of simplicity. Our design showcases a classic hand-wind movement, displayed across a bold "bridge" support. Two blued hands mark time along bold Roman numerals on a clear dial inside the elegant stainless steel case. The wheels and screws glisten in metallic blue, silver and gold colors, balanced by 17 shimmering jewels. The Verite secures with a genuine black leather strap and is water-resistant to 3 ATMs.
