The Real Deal! Back Pain Gone! I never write reviews! First one ever! I am compelled to "write" the wrong of the previous reviewer. (I am also going to right the wrong of the marketing geek who sorely missed the mark in divining the remarkable effectiveness and functionality of this superior product.) First off - this device IS NOT the lateral equivalent of an inversion system! It's purpose is not to make you feel as though you're floating. It's purpose is to exert negative-lateral pressure away from your disks and stretch the corresponding muscles. It performs that remarkably well! I would argue that it is equal or superior to the Chiropractor's Vax-D disk decompression therapy which I personally swear by. This device is better, easier, faster and more convenient and you can own it as opposed to the $3,000 dollars that the rehab folks will charge you for a month's therapy. if you have chronic lower back pain - YOU MUST TRY THIS PRODUCT! With their money back guarantee - you have nothing to lose but your back pain! This works! Here's what you do. Use as directed for 20-30 minutes a day - 5 days a week - for a month. At first you'll experience a bit of tenderness and discomfort. You'll confuse muscle pain for joint and nerve pain. Then one day you'll find yourself with a bit more pep in your step and a whole lot more agile as you start to bounce like you did as a kid. And if your as old as I am - you'll be surprised at how much better you feel and how that translates into an overall felling of well-being. Was trying the back pain releiver since the inversion table I purchased is not conducive with my medical issues (glaucoma). Have been using for three weeks (once daily) and it seems to be helping my bulging discs slowly but surely. April 8, 2013
Best back relief around Finally, something that works for spinal decompression.This is not the perfect back stretching machine, but it really works well and is very reasonably priced. I agree with YimmyDgeek's review that a separate sliding butt pad would vastly improve this product.Having short arms, I found the crank handle a little hard to reach and crank comfortably. The crank handle protrudes from the back machine approximately 3-4 inches and when laying on the machine is partially covered by my body mass. This will not be a problem for skinny folks or with people with normal arm reach. My temporary fix was clamping a pair of vise grips to the handle to extend the length.Despite these minor problems this machine is the best thing ever for lower back pain, especially related to herniated disk pain. I found after decompression of my spine my posture improved, belly flattened and most importantly the pain relief was incredible.I did find it a little hard at first getting up and down from the floor to use the machine. However, after several uses of the machine, it got easier and easier getting up and down. If getting up and down off the floor is a problem, I would suggest finding a sturdy bench of some sort to place the machine on.As earlier stated, this is not the most perfect back stretching machine, but it does really work, is well built, lightweight, easy to store, and is very reasonably priced for what it does. That is why I rated this item five stars. You will not find anything better for spinal decompression and back pain relief. I am extremely happy with this product. April 6, 2013
