Its 100% polyester microfiber suede conducts body heat outward, while retaining the cool water and releasing it slowly through evaporation, cooling your head. Its ventilated crown also provides cooling. With a suede cinch and braided cord around the wide 3" brim. It also provides a sun protection rating of UPF 50+--the highest possible--and its wide 3" brim protects your face and neck from the sun's harmful UV rays.
