Add RecipientEA-18 Growler 1/48 Scale Model
The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft based on the two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet. It began production in 2007 and is scheduled for fleet deployment in 2009. The EA-18G will serve as the United States Navy s replacement for the EA-6B Prowler providing a capability to detect identify locate and suppress hostile emitters. The Growler will perform full-spectrum electronic surveillance and electronic attack of enemy threat radars and communications nets. It is a highly flexible design that enables the warfighter to perform a broad range of tactical missions operating from either the deck of an aircraft carrier or land-based fields. Since the EA-18G is a derivative of the F/A-18F it is expected to significantly reduce support and training costs for the Navy.
