An ancient image rich in symbolism.
Found on a sarcophagus in ancient Greece that dates from the late Mycenaean period (1400 B.C.), the dancers are believed to represent the regeneration of life, not mourning. The hourglass (two connected triangles) signify the life-giving female. And we can add our own more modern interpretation of the heart-shaped gestures.
