What did I do without it I purchased this lamp for when my elderly aunt gets up at night. She is very independent and now can get up without struggling to to turn a light on. She gets out of bed and voila! The light is on. The light is bright, very easy assembly and also is attractive. I plan on purchasing more. I live in Florida and electric goes out many times during storms. It will be perfect. April 13, 2013
